High on a hill, tucked into the woods, sits the old town schoolhouse.
One might think an old abandoned schoolhouse a frightful affair, and perhaps they would be right, but our beloved building never sat empty for any measure of time. When the school bell rang for the last time and students and teachers tumbled out, we, the community, ran in.

We came with canvases and paints, needles and yarn, fabrics, dyes, and beads. Ideas flew around the room and plans were noted down. The upstairs shall be a magical place, filled with colour, friends and art. Descend the stairs and feel right at home with everything you need.
A pillow and bed for your weary head, hot shower for tired bones, cook a meal for one, or a scoff for 10, eat in solitude or among new friends. 

We have been welcoming beach combers, hikers, surfers, bicyclists, weekenders, youth groups, families, couples, solo travellers and community members, for decades. It is thanks to you, our wonderfully generous guests, that we are able to keep the doors open. Every dollar you spend at the hostel goes right back into the day-to-day operation.
The hostel is part of a non-profit organization and is entirely run by volunteers.
